SUPPORT THE FUND FOR MOUNT ST. MARY

“I am honored to give to Mount St. Mary Academy.  I believe that an all-girls education–especially at the high school level–produces mature, take-charge women leaders. When you add in the Mercy values you get at Mount, young women have the chance to become servant leaders and everyone benefits from Servant Leadership.  By being a donor, I am giving young women the opportunity for a MSM education for years to come.”

– Missy Dishongh Griffy ’75

As a graduate, you can appreciate the value of a Mount St. Mary Academy education.

Regardless of the decade during which you had your Mount experience, we all have something to share. We share fond memories of teachers that guided and inspired us and lifelong friendships that were made here. We share an appreciation for where we started, this place that taught us not only how to think and dream but also how to achieve.

The Office of Alumnae Relations encourages all graduates of our wonderful school to make Mount St. Mary part of your giving priority to ensure a “Mount experience” for generations to come.

This week Mount St. Mary will encourage all of our constituents (alumnae, current and past parents, friends, current students, etc.) to make a gift to The Fund for Mount St. Mary either that week or pledge a gift by the end of our fiscal year (June 30).

The Alumnae “Class Challenge” is a friendly competition between graduating classes to give to The Fund for Mount St. Mary. All gifts alumnae give from July 1-June 30 count towards the Class Challenge.  The class with the most participation will win the Class Challenge.

Class Ambassadors (representatives of each class) will be responsible for encouraging their class to participate and updating classmates on their standing.

Q:  I donated in the fall, does my gift count toward this challenge?
A:  Yes, any donation made since July 1 of our current fiscal year to the Fund for Mount St. Mary counts towards the percentage of alumnae participation.
Q:  Can I give on behalf of another alumna in order to help increase my class’ percentage of participation?
A:  Yes, if you make an additional gift in honor of a classmate, teacher, etc., it will add to your overall class participation percentage.
Q:  If I create a need-based scholarship or make a planned gift, do these count toward the Class Challenge?
A:  No, the goal of the Class Challenge is to increase alumnae giving of unrestricted gifts therefore only gifts to The Fund for Mount St. Mary will be counted.
If you’re unsure of whether your gift counts in this challenge, please call Mount St. Mary’s Foundation Office at (501) 664-8006.
