Student Life – Get Involved!
Mount girls surprise a lot of people with the skills they develop. Often those most surprised, at first, are the girls themselves.
Co-curricular activities at Mount St. Mary give students a chance to apply their talents and abilities beyond the classroom, and they provide ample opportunities for personal growth and leadership positions. With sixteen athletic teams and over thirty student clubs and organizations, as well as opportunities to travel and to collaborate on theatre arts productions and student media projects, each student at Mount St. Mary Academy is encouraged to try new activities, broaden her experiences and explore the possibilities.
Just take a look on campus, and you’ll see a vibrant school community where girls are expected to get involved, and they rise to the challenge! Mount girls regularly compete at state athletic championships and regional choral competitions. They’ve won titles at national Marine Corps JROTC physical fitness championships and placed at the top at international problem-solving competitions with Odyssey of the Mind.
By challenging yourself, you’ll find yourself growing in ways you never expected, so go beyond what you thought possible and elevate your own expectations!
“Mount has a great variety of amazing and different extracurricular activities that anyone can join! In just my first year at Mount, I participated in Spanish Club, Drama Club, and Interact Club, and each club was different and fun in its own way! Next year I hope to be even more involved because I believe that participating in these clubs helps me find my own voice while having a ton of fun!”
