A Mount St. Mary Academy senior has achieved All-State recognition in band, a significant honor for student musicians in Arkansas. Ann Marie Nguyen, who practices and performs with the Catholic High School band, earned 17th chair clarinet in the 2025 Arkansas School Band and Orchestra Association’s All-State Concert Band. In addition to being part of Catholic High’s band, Ann Marie has also been playing with the Arkansas Youth Symphony since she was in eighth grade.
As part of this year’s All-State Band, Ann Marie will spend February 20-22 in Hot Springs at the All-State Music Conference. She will participate in intense rehearsals alongside the state’s other top musicians, directed by some of the country’s most prestigious and acclaimed directors. The event will conclude with a public concert at the Hot Springs Convention Center on Saturday afternoon, Feb. 22, showcasing the music the students learned as well as their incredible talent.
Congratulations, Ann Marie!
