The McAuley Center gymnasium was full of screams and applause on Tuesday, February 6, as Cassidy Wharton ’24 was named this year’s MSM basketball homecoming queen. Other members of the court, all who were escorted by their fathers, included seniors Abigail Britt, Zashenka Cervantes, Mimi Davis, Hannah Day, Clara Principe, Lyla Tong, and Catherine Raffaelli, and juniors Isabel Duch, Ava Hatfield, Sophia Keeton, and Amaria Love.
Following the homecoming court presentation and crowning ceremony, the Basketball Belles took on Sylvan Hills in a conference match-up. The Belles went on to defeat the Bears 43-30. Ava Coca ’26 led the team with 16 points.
